Happy 70th birthday to Professor Stephen Hawking, probably the greatest theoretical physicist since Einstein

Ditto that Mr, D. Even more remarkable is that he was given only two years to live when he was diagnosed with a form of motor neurone disease in 1963. Mind I might put Richard Feynman up there as well.

I had somewhat of a shock this morning to learn he was 70, I thought he was much younger than that..50 at best. But i've finally got round to buying a couple of his books aswell as a personal favourite of mine called The Iron Sun which came out more or less the same era as 'A Brief History Of Time' also did. The BBC was running a brief article on Hawkings works about 7.30am mentioning some of his theoretic articles including the principle of alien visitation to Earth, I don't know wether it was repeated later on but it sure made for interesting viewing.
