I posted a topic in the severe weather forum about the potential for tornados in Arkansas and Tennessee last night which is highly unusual for this time of year. And sadly there were fatalities. Seems my topic was deleted, but thought it might of been of interest - posted ahead of the event. I'm working in Houston at the moment, and i'm glued to the weather channel.

After a very warm couple of days (26C on Sunday, 22C today) severe weather warnings are out for Houston. 2 inches of rain forecast for tomorrow with a low level risk of Tornadic development.

Like the UK, the US has experienced a very mild winter to date. Infact only in the last week has any snow fallen in the Californian ski resorts of Lake Tahoe and Mammoth where they've had to make it.

So I look forward to this being deleted, or reporting back on what might be a quite interesting couple of days weather down here.
