The sleet is starting to get a little heavier now here, it's very wet but the way it's falling is mimicking snow if you know what I mean. Going to go and revise for my exam tomorrow afternoon now, will be back later.

NAE has the snow kicking in later this afternoon/evening- looking at a good 6hrs+, heaviest in the south.

- precipitation then fizzles back towards the west without ever really getting into the north and east of Wales.

Persistent light rain here and 5c.

Latest news 24 forecast showed that the front will not make it as far east as earlier forecasts indicated.

At the moment it looks I may struggle to get anything.

Cold and raw here with moderate, possibly sleety rain. Temperature just edging down a touch, at 2.6c, DP 1.9c, it's going to be a gradual process!

Just had a look at the meto beta site and it's quite interesting regarding the warnings for our (hopefully) snow event. Regarded as high risk of disruption but (atm) a relatively low probability.

Hang the mouse pointer over the "more" bit to see the grid. Any upgrade will have to come fairly soon I would think, but only if they think the chances of this coming off is increased. They updated yesterday @11.42 so maybe soon.....

Not totally - further south and east you are the colder it should be + the "milder" front probably hasn't quite got to Newport yet
