Very slowly turning snowier here, leaving slushy coverings in the usual places.

It's a start I suppose.

Ok just stuck my head out of the door and theres a light powdery snow coming down over Sneggy now with a slight sleetiness. Very small amount starting to accumulate on the cars but everything is so soaked with the six solid hours of rain and drizzle weve had that i cant for the life of me see it settling. Feels very cold.

Believe it or not but it is ......

RAINING HERE :help:

And here ;-( but to be honest, did not really think it would do anything else. I am now officially thinking of moving to Canada next year to get away from all this stress lol.

Wet outside, and probably sleeting, frustrating as it was snowing for a time mid afternoon

Wierd, same here, it turned to snow for a while around 4 and started to settle, temps was 1.6 as now, yet as soon as it went dark it changed to rain.

Looks like the ramping has died out.

BBC and MetO seem spot on with this one.

Do they? One of them (I think BBC) mentioned 4 inches of snow this morning! ;)

5-8cm on higher ground is how i heard it. Mostly Beacons and Black Mountains.

Not the massive snow event that we thought 2 days ago.

Snowing lightly still here and settling but at a rate that would give maybe 2cm by morning if it carried on all night, whereas it fact it will probably only last another 2-3hours as the radar shows the block ever slow slowly edging the precipitation away from me.

For those of you further south and west, I would say again to be patient, you should have 12hours+ of precipitation left and that's plenty of time for it to turn to snow and even start to accumulate. The cold will continue to advance (slowly) and you'll have a greater chance of snow in the early hours. Not saying it will happen, but there's a very good chance. Patience!
