Gloriously sunny all day today after the gloom of yesterday with a high of a chilly 3c, last night dropped to -1c in the end so not the -5c that was forecast but tonight should be significantly colder at least!

Dry with patches of stratocumulus at Cleadon but there has been some sunshine today, the first since Saturday. With the wind off the North Sea it has been pretty mild with a maximum of 4.6C following an overnight minimum of 3.1C. I expect the temperature to drop substantially tonight under clear skies and lack of wind.

Cold clear and frosty after a sunny day although it was cloudy overnight and first thing this morning, which stopped the temperature from dropping too much.
