    Second big NAE image:

    Sunday 00:00 (+30hrs)

    The 12z earlier had this:

    12020500_0312.gif

Now the 18z is programming this for 00:00:

    12020500_0318.gif

    In summary:

A further 30miles(?) south west....thats OVER 9 Hours of snowfall for the North East of our region.

These upgrades are starting to come into line with my graphs a couple of pages back...

Fantastic charts, keeping the dream alive for many in the NE of the SW!

Looks like i'm right on the edge there - but latest GFS shows our old friend/foe the Azores High getting close to the UK again early next week.

If the chart is correct, then I don't think there will be much if any snow from Wiltshire south and Westwards.

Currently the best place to probably be tomorrow would be around Bristol and the Northeast of Wiltshire. Subject to possible change of course.

Im hoping it continues to edge further west, i dont think alot of people in areas that look good for snow realise that if the whole thing is further west we could have 2 or 3 repeat events like this, if we lose all the cold air out into the north sea or france any future events will be of just rain. heres for a shift west of about 50miles come tomorrow

I believe there will be some more slight upgrades...

    WHY?

Every single run has seen the shortwave low associated with the front increase in strength. This basically helps cut the Westrly directly of the wind off (mild).

    I.E:

06z programmed this for 00:00 sunday:

    12020500_0306.gif

    The 18z progs this:

    12020500_0318.gif

Shortwaves usually increase in severity closer to the event (ie 24hrs and during the 'event')

    Liam Dutton @liamdutton

@TWOCommunity An upgrade for areas a little further west and perhaps the front stalls more, but overall a similar picture.

    • After a wet March, Easter Weekend is looking mostly dry and settled, but maybe a chilly easterly wind

Blog looking at the prospects of dry and settled conditions developing from Sunday persisting into Easter Weekend. Warm in the sun by day, but nights could be cold with a risk of frost, easterly wind may make eastern areas chilly. The long weekend may end with rain in the west. View the full blog here
