Bare in mind the coldest air is situated in the East, feeding off the European continent. Hence colder temps and why the front will begin to stall.

Cheers, worded badly from myself though, was more wandering how they've already got some ppn :good:

Definately on the cusp here

Ahhh the sure signs of a marginal setup.

Dewpoints will be a lot lower though. Almost -5c dp here!

Great Met Office warnings which have extended the Amber warning further West. :D

Grrrr the ppn keeps fizzling out before it reaches here.

I want it all, and I want it NOW! (stomps feet impatiently)

All looks about on time as expected, should reach western edge of birmingham around 4, all the time the two bands of precip closing up

Yes, I saw that, and now there's no mention of rain except on coastal areas. We could be getting lucky!

I'd be expecting Brum to be affected by as early as 2.30, but I suppose it's just splitting hairs. I'd prefer a slower Eastward movement allowing the two to occlude.

Very light snow here in Bewdley now! Tiny flakes, but just starting to show on the roads. Not the main band, but it's still snow! Those in Stourbridge etc shouldn't have long to wait. Still -1.2 °C here, too!
