Sounds like it could turn very dangerous with Freezing rain in the North West of our region. Snow likely elsewhere where cold is better entrenched.

I suspect the heavier precip around northern ireland will slip sse whilst the first band is more west to east, however should meet around birmingham, leaving those from around that area east in the firing line later

Really? Do you think (in brum) that as forecast it will turn sleety later on?

To me the bands early? Looks skinny and quicker moving than I expected. Or is it me?Had a flake or two in the wind earlier.

To me the bands early? Looks skinny and quicker moving than I expected. Or is it me?Had a flake or two in the wind earlier.

I believe the bands are expected to slow down and pep up as they cross the colder air embedded across the bulk of the Midlands (especially East Mids) and beyond :)

Snowing moderately here now with fine flakes settling on all surfaces :D

If you ignore the unusual heavy precip around manchester its looks about bang on with the nae

was forecast for light snow 12 here and heavy fro 15 so on time at the mo

Thats very surprising considering your altitude too. Whats your dewpoint? You probably actually have freezing rain.
