Can't get on my radar pal, hiw many more hours of this to go? It's moderate but not got heavy as if yet

Was a false alarm, definately still snow but really fine, we have about half an inch maybe more but that all fell in the first half hour, this fine stuff just isnt adding to it yet.

Give it another 2 hours and the precip will fill in nicely along the occlusion line as the cold front edges in past the welsh coast and more closer towards the Mersey. I'm going to take a 2 hour nap as little else is happening right now but 5pm is when the fun and games start to begin here in the NW.

Not too sure with all the mix messages but that weather dude says the heaviest not due into the region until 6ish.

Don't set your alarm for 5pm, well not today anyway.

Blimey you guys have wrote alot since I went out. Just got in from a drive in the hills, went from Macclesfield, up to Macclesfield Forest from there up to the Cat and Fiddle and then back again. White out conditions at times on the Cat and Fiddle with drifting in places, probably won't stay open much longer. The main roads are just about staying clear but if this gets heavier again they won't cope I think.

Still powdery snow coming down here though with the odd larger flake mixed in.

lol tbh we have only just started this event, give it some time, we've missed some snow, a lot of other places have too..but there is still a long way to go, its not over by far yet

arsenal 7-1 henry just scored in last couple of seconds of injury time

Yes Can't work out why as St Bees is right on the coast literally albeit at a higher elevation but a 50m advantage won't equate to a 2 degree temp difference.

Temperature going up here.

-0.4C with a DP of -0.7C, so it's becoming VERY marginal..

Snow light in E Lancs and struggling to mount up. 2cm tops and that's only in places it's drifted. More to come from the W though...

More like 4cm close to 2" lying pal but bring on the extra!

The latest meteogram for E Lancs signals the heaviest precip later today and after dark. This event is far from over.pic.twitter.com/k8JE18p9
