plenty of time down here for snow later i feel..we arent on the coast and temps will drop off along with the dp, thats in our favour

Its not entirely a non event down here in South Cheshire just yet currently as its just again began snowing lightly with perhaps hopefully some more fun and games to come later this afternoon and this evening for us in the North West if that Mark Hugo weather guy is right. :)

The front is moving through much quicker than forecast, check the latest radar images and compare it to the 18.00 predicted position of the front from the NAE. Just about clearing N Ireland atm.

Also the NAE showed snow from 12-18.00 for much of the region. Wrong so far :(

lol tbh we have only just started this event, give it some time, we've missed some snow, a lot of other places have too..but there is still a long way to go, its not over by far yet

arsenal 7-1 henry just scored in last couple of seconds of injury time

Thought temperatures were supposed to be on the rise come the evening or have things now changed?

It's absolutely pants here!! Absolutely freezing, frozen rain making a racket outside, sheet of ice along the garden path... got a few snowflakes about half an hour ago but it's turned back to freezing rain pellets now. Pants!

Straw clutching springs to mind, it's a busted forecast already.

Looks about right to me the warm front will slow right down now whilst the cold front catches up, the cold front is still in the irish sea so given that in about 3 hours a line from manchester to bristol will be about right, thats when we should see the heaviest snowfall

The only bonus IF we get snow it should settle quite quick on top of the sheet ice that is covering everything

The back end of the front is nearly clearing eastern Ireland ATM whilst the NAE 18.00 chart still had this over the Atlantic.

Still gotta lotta snow coming down here. Shame freezing rain sounds kind of fun. Think I said the other day Manchester would be the dividing line, especially with a little height.

Steadfastly refusing to snow here. Just been to go outdoors in Blackburn - no snow there either but freezing rain. Roads very icy saw two minor accidents where cars coming out of the side roads couldn't stop.

Still not had any cold rain for a while either .

Temp falling steadily away, down to 2.3c now.

It better not snow after the ground is now soaked with large puddles everywhere! It can stay as rain until the end for me.
