Italy is making headlines here. Snow in rome??

Yup Italy has come to a halt virtually in many places , 1/2 to1+ meters in Northern areas and East of Rome, the Rome snowfall was most since 1956 it seems. I'm in NW, about 1/2 meter here drifting snow, snowed on and off for a week now, really nice powder snow here in the hills ouside Parma.

I'm pretty excited about tonights event back home though, where will the front grind to a halt? Bexleyheath maybe?

;-)

You could the princely sum of £3.49 and have the NW radar which is better anyway for a month.

Is the correct answer. Love the mapping and overlays...

I'm great thanks EML, you?

I tend to stick to the regional forums on here now, they're a lot busier and conversation flows a lot quicker, I occasionally pop over :)

-1.2C, 65% humidity, -7C DP.

Stupid weather station thing is showing the rain graphic. You'd have thought that it would check the temperature first, Bloody Chinese :wallbash:

Any potential for further, significant snow later this week?

Short answer, yes.

Longer Answer, No idea when, where or how, but the cold is likely to stay so naturally snow is also likely

Max Temp here today was 1.4, it's currently 1.3 in Shoreham by Sea (on the actual sea front), with a dew point now of -1.5 , I'm about 166ft elevation, and 1 1/2 miles inland here, so it's likely a tad colder and dew point a tiny bit lower perhaps, all in all it's looking good for us, the dew point has got lower as the day has gone on, so bodes well...just not liking that band of Precipitation ahead of the main band, hoping that wont fall as rain before the main event...it's still touch and go for us I think

Thanks, you sound like you know what you are talking about, whereas I am unsure but "think" i get how the weather works! Brighton varies so much, maybe you will get snow and me sleet - I am 200ft on a hill!

leemondo - you always get more snow in Crowborough. I'm in Tonbridge, one of the lower parts, and we always get the least around here. Not fair!

I've found an excellent webcam in Oxford and you can see it just starting to snow : http://webcam.oii.ox.ac.uk/camera1.cfm. Hopefully not too many folks click on it or it'll probably crash.

For those who are unable to take advantage of the NW radar and having issues with Rain today

You can also use Meteox for free if you click on the map it will zoom in...

Personally i think rain today limit bandwidth access to non paying customers to try and make you subscribe (makes sense to me)

http://www.meteox.co...&soort=satradar

Note : It does not show the lightest precipitation

Snowing in reading, East

I hope this is an event my brother and sisters remember, they've seen deep snow before so close to the sea... I have seen deep snow plenty of times, had to clear the drive twice last winter lol
