Here we go then people-

its starting to drift in now-

Eyes down for a full house-

-1 -3c here perfect dry snow conditions = 1:15 lapse rates

Just an UPDATE on the outlook, there is a SIGNIFICNT shift in the models ( as forecast over the last few days) to an easterly that is mirroring the Feb 91 High pressure -

looks to be arriving weds ish-

So after the weekend a quietISH 2/3 days then the possibility of snow from the east-

Warmest day looks like mon/tues then back below freezing from the east-

Also IF the gfs 12z varifies anything close for the next 16 days- we will be looking at a -2C FEB CET

remember Wrap up warm & check on the elderly relatives..

S

Steve

This is why I was so vocal about the Block Holding firm all last week, what the Models are showing is could make this lot tonight pale into Insignificance if we get another Feb 1991 and almost to that day as well!

I firmly believe the 2nd and possibly 3rd bites of the cherry are going to be the Headline Makers! This is just the starters!

It might be light, but it's a very wide area of snow and it's moving incredibly slowly too

Here's the NAE 12z forecast for tonight for NW Kent,

post-5986-0-38225300-1328376494_thumb.pn

Perhaps some slightly wet snow for sea level at 3am, but no chance of rain, nor sleet, for this area based on this forecast for anyone whose height above sea level is 10m or more ;) Just snow, more snow, and even more snow. All models now forecast in excess of the 5-10cm prediction from the MetO. I'd be surprised if it's not increased over the next few hours. Shush, and don't tell anyone - a foot of snow for the North Downs ...

Bring it on!!

:)
