You can see the transfer of energy from north to south in the last hour of radar. The front doesn't seem to be slowing up at all, we would be out of it in the next couple of hours at this rate.

I know how easy it is to be skeptical about others depths for those who are still waiting for theirs so here's confirmation (as much for me as anyone else) that I've surpassed the METOs 10cm warning!!! Woohoo! Incidently the drifted bits are a foot deep easily but I only have a 6-incher (ruler that is) so you'll have to take my word for it!

Just watching the City match on tv and they're getting pelted with snow - even having to stop the match to clear the pitch markings!

What's the chances of that sort of snow heading over Huddersfield way?

Finally we have some "proper" snow in good old Tarn.

traffic going a crawl, grit no longer working in this part of Leeds. Just seen a BBC report from the North West and theres 7cms there so clearly the cold block has held its ground at the moment. snow starting to ease off now

still very fine snow here, so much for 5-10 cms lucky if we get 5-10 mm. enjoy all the proper snow all. before i call it a night on here is there any chance that we might see some decent snowfall before the evening is through?
