Problem is with Raintoday it's VERY sensitive and can pick up what's not actually hitting the ground!

^ look here, you can see where the deep snow line is yet according to raintoday it should be snowing very well in most of west kent

Temp here up to Freezing, SW winds as well, might be the right hand corner of the triple point I guess

Yuk. Ties in with my observations over here in Ashford though. No PPN. temp still rising. Now 0.7 Degrees

There's a big old white return on Met Office radar that is in the Midlands now...seems to be heading straight for us...

Steve, we are probably between 3-4 here at the moment, light snow but its going to take more than that to get things more interesting...its coming though.

Low dew points probably not allowing the true amount the radar is suggesting. For example here it only got going around 8pm yet radar suggested it had been going for longer that that.

SNOW! Tiny little flakes, but we have snow.

I may cry if this turns out to be a massive flop.

Incredibly bizzare to read that the radar is showing precipiation but there is nothing!!! Has anyone here got heavy snow or lying snow?

Ice is more reflective than water so even the smallest will give an echo. The smallest being stuff that's reabsorbed before reaching the surface hence the radar picks it up, but the close relations to chimpanzees who insist on drinking to much beer watching street lights do not observe it.

;)

20.40 Level 0 in Tunbridge Wells! Looking at radar and still hopeful we will get a covering. Temp = -1.2c.
