Weather Station

Recommended Posts

hi all

I bought a wireless smart weather station back in November 2010 and i am very pleased with it. in 2011 however i replaced the batteries in both the in-door and out-door equipment last year. since then it has not been recording the rainfall totals everything else works and displays properly such as air pressure and the tendency plus the arrows up and down and the wind speed are all fine.

Thanks for any help.

Love weather

You need to bring the rain unit indoors and have a look at it to see if anything like one of the wires has been nudged when you changed the batteries.

I suppose it has a tip bucket, see if it will record when close to the receiver.

Other than that some sort of total reset is always worth trying.

There may be a way to do it by poking a paper clip into a pinhole, or just take batteries out of everything for (up to) several hours so it forgets any settings and you restart like out of the box.

The tipping bucket might be possible to repair or exchange with minimal tools such as a small soldering iron.

Google is your friend, someone else will have had the problem.
