The PPN in the North Sea looks way more intense then predicted? Assuming it doesn't fizzle out too much and conditions are good, then places in central England are going to get hammered.

Some people mentioning the Net Weather Radar.

It is outstanding for showing the position of precipitation, however the precip type aspect isn't totally accurate as it relies on many aspects to

come up with the colour shown.

As an absolutely up to date proof ... The snow which is being reported from Calne is showing as rain on the radar!

Still bone dry in Bristol, even though radar has rain over me! Remember folks, this was always going to start as rain anyway! It's just a matter of how quick can it turn to snow, if indeed it does!

I think the main band will be more interesting, but that's not going to get here until after midnight!

I still think when I get up at 03.30, it will be snowing! That's what I am aiming for anyway!
