This isn't pivoting for s***, it's still heading straight South on the radar *bangs head against wall*

you're looking in the wrong place dude!

Keep looking at the stuff off the yorkshire coast and it's direction of travel, it's almost straight southwesterly now!

Nothing happening here in Worcestershire.

Just looked at the Met Office prediction and they say heavy snow for midnight for Bromsgrove - is that right ?

I agree, it's the North Sea we need to be watching.

Trust me mate, it's zoomed in on my post code on the Net Weather 5 minute radar and this is still heading straight South over the East Midlands, game over.

I guarantee this slides East past Leicester and Nottingham before it heads South West, if I was a betting man i'd put big money on it.

Weather warnings just updated. We're still in the yellow zone but we're not mentioned in the wording anymore.

Just been studying the radar and in my opinion Northants will hit the bullseye. The main area which is moving SSW lies between Peterborough and Leicester. So if you live in Northants you have many hrs of snow still to come which may even turn heavier.

No sure why so many people are complaining of appalling forecasting. Snow events are hard enough to call as it is, even right up until a few hours away. East/west warm/cold battle zones are even harder to call with 0.5 degress and a few miles making all the difference.

Midlands today at 7pm showed Brum and the SW as the battle ground with some snow on the Shropshire/welsh hills which meant little or no snow for me. Bang on the money so far.

Here you go for those that missed it.... bugger all for me!!

The precipitation to our north west is actually pivoting around on top of us...if those cold uppers can get in we might salvage something from that.

It already is heading south west, albeit not as west as would be preferable, but it definitely is. Northants looks like the sweet spot.

I wouldn't give up yet Andy. I was originally getting rather frustrated but I feel more confident now. There is still all night for things to turn in our favour, as it just might turn west again. It doesn't look shabby just from looking outside now!

Lots of precip here in Shropshire, but as yet still all rain... looks like a band if rain up to the west of Wolverhampton, then Freezing rain between Wolves abd Brum and then snow Brum eastwards - accoriding to the Netweather radar (v6)
