Send it this way blizzards. Im not actually sure what happens now? The front looks to be slowly sinking SW. Where do we go from here?

Just looked again and we're getting the huge flakes here as well! And it's trying to stick!

Hmmm interesting looking radar, big strengthening has developed along the backedge of the first lobe of precip, as long as thats real returns that may just drag it into snow in the B'ham region, so keep a close eye in the next 10-20 mins in that area...

Well that looks like it's almost over for me as this lot heads SW and every drop of the PPN was rain.

Once this rainfall freezes it'll be a hammer and chisel at the ready to de-ice the car in the morning rather than a snow shovel for the drive!!

Beware of black Ice in the morning!

Turning into a good little event this! Measured 3cm fresh snowfall at 2130GMT and it's still coming down nicely. This is also settling on top of existing snow in places so depth varies.

Snow intensity is currently moderate, and if the radar is to be believed should increase to heavy shortly.

Just as its starts to get somewhere, we've nearly reached the end accoridng to the radar...then thats it. At least we salvaged a quick 10 minutes of excitement!

Wow! Surely I can claim to have had the heaviest snow out of anyone now! A small area of torrential (32mm/hr plus) right on top of us on the radar! :D

Very rare for snowfall to have torrential on the radar! :D

Bitter sweet though because any minute now...that'll be it for the night!

It would be Bish, 'because I'm in Knowle too! (Just off Purnells Way) :)

lol, that's not far from where I went to school all those years ago (Arden). I'm at the top of Wychwood Avenue, near to where the golf course is :)

No snow at all. Blizzards and Gord only just down the A449 from me and I've got nothing!

Looks like youve got lucky.

We were, it was an intense but localised area.

Looking at the radar again, I may be wrong thinking that was the end of it. There's some precipitation up near Derby that seems to be heading our way. And with patches intensifying without warning I wouldn't like to make a prediction.

Don't despair in the West Midlands...I feel things could now be developing. Next couple of radar frames will tell.

..and now we now that the uppers are on our side!

Like last Saturday, the PPN intensified as it approached our area towards the end. The same in the summer for Thunderstorms please!

Where have the Northants posters gone? Surprised there's not more excitement at what's showing on the radar. It looks to me as though there's quite a bit of snow with our name on it over the next few hours, and heavy snow too! :)
