Light snow started here, fluffy flakes gently falling, a frost outside with temperature below freezing and still have laying snow from a week ago a good cold spell here.

omg...I've just got up and looked the the window....SNOW! couple of cm out there. Its stopped now but wow! was not expecting to wake up to that

As I thought, snow intially then turning to rain as the warm nose aloft I talked about to the north moves south above the sub-zero surface layer, it's a good job it's not Monday morning but going to be some nasty conditions for those on the roads where rains falling nonetheless!

All we've had in Hounslow this morning is some Slizzle, not even a any proper snow!

Yes Steve I have some amazing pictures I will upload later of tyres completely frozen.

Was trying to put into words what I was seeing and my 9 year old comes out with a perfect analogy.

Sugar dusting on roads of snow but we have had a shed load of freezing rain followed by normal rain. Just need the kitchen sink and we're good lol

Well, here in Tunbridge Wells it is indeed snowing sporadically - not enough yet to settle though, but the updated MetO forecast is suggesting heavy snow for us from 9am through to midday so here's hoping! If we do get a reasonable amount it will be nice, for the first time this winter, to be able to see it properly rather than having to rush outside to a lamppost every five minutes...
