Snowing in Reigate - between 4 and 6 on the Murr scale... Settling readily on all non gritted surfaces... The snow is quite wet though... Small flakes too...

anyone thought of looking east :acute:

Ah yeah, the radar is fluffed - it's coming from the NE with wind direction, heading south westwards... the radar is not showing this.

Very tiny flakes been falling here in Petworth for the last 20mins. Settling on car, fence, grass, road. Air temp just dropped below freezing.

Snow has arrived in Horsham, kids are now busily convincing themselves that school and work will be closed tomorrow.

not out of the question given the way schools run these days. Still you'll probably be far enough south to avoid any really large totals.

Whilst not strictly all in our region, from say Petersbrough SSW down to Oxford is my bullseye at the moment, some impressive snow on the radar in those areas and I think 10-15cms looking likely at this moment...

Snowing nicely here (SM Scale of 6 I'd say), settling on roofs, but still struggling on the ground...Not bad for Central London though.

EDIT: Getting heavier with larger flakes, so all good, so far...

Light/moderate snow with about 1cm.....I reckon we'll get about 2-4 cms max here.

Stopped now EDIT :(

S

We are just a little too far to the SE for anything really interesting, I'd give anything to be in Oxfordshire right now!

Radar looks impressive.

Anyway Steve, take it as a bonus, this morning we were all saying how there was pretty much no chance, the fact we got a snow cover, however wet and probably short lived it'll be, its better than nothing...or rain if your in the W.Midlands right now! :p

Actually i'd rate this on the same scale as the weekend so far, but could become better than it if it continues and sticks on grass and pavements, stuck on some things though.

still something of interest in the north sea, wheres that going?

just re-subribed to netw radar - and Chelmsford is literally about 10 miles too far east - hence why Ongar etc getting snow

but we had our fair share last weekend so can't complain
