Night-time Village Snow Photos

I've just been outside my girlfriends house in Warthill, just outside of York, to take a few photos.

Thankfully there are no streetlights in the village.

It's about -8C out there and still about 4 inches of snow.

Great pics mct. Almost thought you'd caught the aurora in those as well. Love the moonlight in the puddle pics. Is that Jupiter or Venus up above? Perhaps Sirius?

Thanks, yeah I thought the same thing, it reminded me of the aurora too.

It's actually Mars, I checked on Google Skyview.

nice pics but the light pollution is amazing,

That's from York and I think it's been exaggerated by the long exposure and slight mistiness. It's not normally so obvious.

Great pics. My boss lives in the next village of Holtby and I work just down the road between Murton and Holtby.

thats good don't get it here and we have no street lights either,it's a damn sight better without.
