Struggling with this one.. suspect a preety average month overall, but some notably chilly weather at times and not much in the way of early spring warmth.

Strong heights to our NE can be a very stubborn beast in March and it is often a month when the atlantic remains very sluggish. I'm going to go for 6.8 degrees. Good chance of a decent northerly during the second half of the month.

Recent scrubbing of upper level westerlies coupled with the drop in total angular momentum indicate a shift from the current synoptics. Certainly scope for some incursions from the east but as cold pooling over the continent will be much moderated by now I'll go for 5.9°C.

6.6C please. My guess is that it will be slightly milder than average in southern and central areas but possibly colder than average for northern regions.
