    Well the Business case will be based on Global warming and the risk to the UK infrastructure and Business which should send it a long way to towards being approved.

    Perhaps they should also look into a seti approach as well. Plenty of computers out there.

    Ever since Captain FitzRoy first invented numerical weather-forecasting, the limitations in accuracy have been due to lack of computing power. So surely, subject to the Law of Diminishing Returns, better computers will yield better forecasts - and models?
