A dry mild and cloudy night with rain arriving in the last 20 minutes. Although the thermometer says 6.3c it felt positively cold out on the moor this morning when the rain began, largely due to a mean wind speed of 25 mph.

If I lived near Telford I could have sworn it was sleeting.

Today dawned dull and drizzly and, although the drizzle died out by 08.00, it has returned as persistent light/moderate rain since 11.00

along with a very strong, gusty WSW wind.

8.4c at present with 83% humidity.

I trust you were not out in your tea shirt again pretending to be tough?

I don't know how you get away with comments like that?

A very unpleasent weathear day, damp and drizzly with some heavier rain at times, looking at radar return between 5 and 8mm o rain here.

Very low diurnal range at local wather station, max 8.9c and min 7.6c

However 10c was recorded on car thermometer.

Today's rain shows why no drought can be expected around here anytime soon, but still rainfall is well below average so far this month.

Wettest day of the year so far and by far! Heavy rain overnight which lasted through to lunchtime and a gusty wind made for a very unpleasant day. Light rain through the afternoon. Rivers are swollen and there was much localised flooding. Warm sector southwesterlies are torrid affairs in these parts, murk, drizzle, low cloud miserable!
