These forecasts make me feel all nostalgic. I much prefer the old BBC weather maps...

Yes, I know what you mean. The only forecasts I generally like now are the Countryfile / Country Tracks ones, where you're guaranteed isobaric charts.

I also dislike the pulsing nature of the rainfall charts on the BBC.

Good posts here too. I'm trying to remember all the forecasters - Suzanne Charlton etc. Also amazing how much Rob McElwee has aged.

Weather-history - do you have any forecasts from the incredible cold snap of October 3rd 1994?

I clearly remember blizzard conditions in Aberdeen city centre which was amazing to see so early in the year even though no snow settled
