Aurora Borealis In Vicinity Of Anchorage !977

I don't know whether it's of any interest but a few shots of aurora near Anchorage in 1977 from the Collection of Dr. Herbert Kroehl, NGDC.

The still photos don't do the aurora justice because you miss the shimmering movement. Better technology these days as well, I did see some great auroras when we had a weather station between Iceland and Greenland.

There seems to have been a fair old blizzard late March 1898. From the Royal Cornwall Gazette March 31st.
