There was further light rain and drizzle through the morning, the rain turned moderate for a short time before a clearance reached the area around lunch time. The afternoon saw sunny spells. The wind was fresh, strong at times from the west.

A layer of Cirrus provided a colourful sunrise and, as the Cirrus cleared by 08.00 so the sun shone through strongly.

There has been plenty of sunshine since with fair weather Cumulus developing since 11.00.
