Hey folks,

Hope the mods don't mind if I create this thread to post all my historical videos in as and when I do them? It will save me keep posting individual threads each time I do a video and cluttering up the forum.

Todays Bank Holiday Monday historical vid is The Snowy Easter Of 1983: http://gavsweathervids.com/

Enjoyed watching your latest video.

I wonder whether you will be doing one of April 1981 later this month - reminding us of the exceptional late season heavy snowfalls and depth of cold. I'd really like to see you do a forecast of that said event - reading about it suggests it was an epic.... coming on the back of some decent warmth in mid April.

Thanks for the feedback Damian. :)

I WILL do the late April snowstorm at some point, but it really depends what else is going on at the end of April. If theres interesting weather I might not have time and in that case my next one would be the May Day holiday weekend.

But April 1981 WILL happen sooner or later.

Look forward to viewing your april 81 footage whenever that may be. Later this month could see alot of thundery activity as the trough become slow moving over the country with building heat to the east - so you may well not have the time..

Thanks for the video - enjoyed watching it. Very unusual synoptics for the time of year - very odd to see the development of a shortwave feature over Ireland engaging with the cold uppers.. there are some similiarities between what the models are suggesting for this coming bank holiday - signs of shortwave activity over england engaging with the cold long drawn northerlies... one to watch.

Thanks Damian. :)

Yes, synoptics were very unusual and unique.
