Blanket of cloud apparent with the odd gap in the cloud letting the sun shine through. The temperature for 8am was apparently 3.2*C if that local Met Office recording was correct. :-O

Its felt very warm out in the countryside this week with a blazing sun, loads of insects around, it just hasnt felt cool at all apart from very early in the morning and only one morning, yesterday was truly cold for mid April, i think too many people get hung up on charts and ignore the reality what the actual conditions at the ground will be in April, you need rain, overcast conditions, cold breeze for cold feeling weather in April, tell anybody out and about it was going to be a cool week and they would of laughed at you in a t shirt.

Very dubious of any daytime cold now until November onwards when the sun is much weaker and days are much shorter.

A light dusting of snow first thing this morning and occasional light snow showers today. These showers are now getting heavier and more frequent and looking like a few more showers overnight tonight could see some more lying snow tomorrow.
