I only ever used the Metoffice site for monthly reviews and latest observation table. Now the observation table is gone I'll just use weatheronline more which even sorts into highest/lowest observations.

No point e-mailing Metoffice, they have spent probably quite a bit of money on the change, they won't go back. But the site looks nice a modern.

The observation page is still there [for the time being]. Although it doesn't actually say this page is being removed.

The table of "UK - Latest Observations" on our old site has been withdrawn, and observations are now divided up into regional tables based on the site specific forecast of choice. We also provide a map showing regional extremes. Based on customer feedback during the past 2 years and surveys conducted externally and via our Open Days here, the public have indicated that they want more regional/local information. This is why the emphasis is now based on weather more "local to you" which has led to increasing the number of site specific forecasts from around 450 to 5000.
