Like yesterday we were spared any real downpour today. The Pennines appearing to act as barrier. Quite surprised no homegrown showers were generated over the fells especially under the lengthy sunny spells providing lots of energy.

Tomorrow is likely to deliver more showers I imagine and Sunday. Indeed I don't think we have had a single dry day this month so far.

In the sunshine and light winds it did fell quite pleasant, unlike recent days which have had a very chilly feel.

Temperatures this weekend will remain low for the time of year, only just making it into double figures, we saw many milder days during the first half of January than we have seen this month.
