Another day of Possible Chasing in Deepest South Texas, Risk is not as great as yesterday with the Parent Low way up near the Texas & Oklahoma Border, so weaker flow aloft and only scattered Storms likely.

With 1 eye on New Mexico tomorrow and subsequent days will see how the day pans out to the west of the risk zone but not expecting too much action down here today, might see some brief Supercellular Structure but Mainly Large Hail and damaging winds the risks today.

Good evening guys, quick update from us stateside:

After a late night last night, we checked out at a 11am and headed to Padre Island to see if we could spot any convection coming on to the gulf, after a quick swim we headed out of Corpus Christi with the aim of heading to Victoria. After stopping for lunch we noticed a CU field starting to form and some turkey towers going up and down. Checking all obs, vis sats and the SPC we noticed storms starting to fire on a convergence zone. We are currently heading northwards to pick off any storms that come off this. We can't go too far east today otherwise we will put ourselves out of position for the risks in New Mexico tomorrow.

Keep checking the stream, I will update the ticker on a regular basis, enjoy your Friday evenings! clapping.gif

    • After a wet March, Easter Weekend is looking mostly dry and settled, but maybe a chilly easterly wind

Blog looking at the prospects of dry and settled conditions developing from Sunday persisting into Easter Weekend. Warm in the sun by day, but nights could be cold with a risk of frost, easterly wind may make eastern areas chilly. The long weekend may end with rain in the west. View the full blog here
