Started the day in Carlsbad with a chase target of just South of Fort Stockton. Things certainly did not play out as planned today with strong Northerly winds and surface temperatures not getting above 55f all day when they were expected to be in the 70's. This had an adverse affect on the Expected Storms and the Instability axis was much further south over the Mexican Mountains. We did intercept a Non Severe Storm just near Alpine but only documented some strong winds and Lightning today, called off the chase early and headed to the hotel whilst watching the MCS Dissappear over the Mexican Mountains. At one point we were 21 miles from Mexico and were in the No Mans Land across the Border Crossing Patrol.

Dave has some better pictures to put up but here is just one of mine from today.
