A fab day it has been - sunny throughout the day with a few odd cumulus clouds around during the afternoon - though perhaps just a little bit too humid for my liking. Did make for a great day to go for a walk in and it almost felt as though I was walking through the desert with the warm sunshine surrounding me. :) The temperature seemed to have reached around 25*C here in the end, though the humidity would almost trick you into thinking the temperatures were closer to 28*C or something.

The Met Office keeps on upgrading these temperatures for here. Could be like this for at least another 5-7 days yet! biggrin.png

Friday now predicted to be 26c, Saturday now 24c and Sunday now 24c also! These were predicted to be just 20c the other day! biggrin.png

As expected grey and dreary today here, it's one of those days where the mist won't be gone until at least 2pm but im sunburnt anyway so its not like I can lie out in the garden laugh.png

ECM and UKMO oh my gosh!! going for another heatwave next week whilst GFS goes for a more unsettled picture.

The muck which appeared around 10 last night (hesitate to call it "cloud", it's just grey featureless murk) is still persisting here, see most of Wales and the E Mids are now clear, 3pm here maybe?

GFS has gone very settled looking now too. :D

Mist cleared by 11am and thus it's hot and sunny again. Loving this weather. :)

Saturday and Sundays temperatures are upgraded again! Yesterday it was forecast 24c, now 25c. Only the breeze will make things a touch cooler feel wise. Monday has greatly upgraded from 21c to 24c already!

Another fab day to add to the weather book. :) Had started cloudy this morning, but the cloud/mist gave up to leave another very sunny day. Appears to be a few cumulus clouds dotted about as well. Would be interesting to see if we do get a thundery shower/storm this evening, though kinda feel a bit doubtful about it, but I suppose not impossible. Temperature currently around 24*C with a very gentle breeze from the North.

It cleared about half an hour after I wrote that message earlier (it does work sometimes!) and has been a lovely afternoon, albeit very hazy. No murk tonight please............

Temperatures actually not falling this evening, still 24c with no breeze! like being on holiday, perfect!

Amazing ECM & UKMO by the way! ECM in particular is a scorcher, GFS less good but the high pressure moves in pretty quickly again after a washout Wednesday!

Yes, it's very impressive for temps to still be so high this late in the evening. Currently 22.1c here, with a high of 25.6c just after six o'clock this evening.

Charts remaining settled into next week but may end up slightly cooler than this week as the models favour High pressure settling over the UK rather than to just our East but this will change no doubt.

This afternoons charts continue the dry theme but temperatures falling probably well back to the high teens Maybe very low twenties at best as a light northerly wind is possible. The Atlantic trough now looks being too far west thus the high pressure being too far west but loads of time for change yet. :) A dry and pleasant outlook at least.

Sunshine shield completely smashed apart again today. :) No evidence of any clouds around at all. Yey. :)

Less breezy tomorrow so will probably feel warmer and same for Monday, with higher humidity also plus the risk of a thundery shower. Sadly the Bank Holiday weekend looks very cool to average at best but still quite far away in model terms but it looks unlikely for the models to now turn around. Maybe even some rain from the North. Atlantic Trough also looks like encroaching from beyond this maybe. Quite a messy, bleak outlook into June but lets enjoy these next few days as this spell as been nothing short of stunning. Heres hoping for some summer like charts to reappear please!

Crystal clear skies again this morning here after a low of 12c, got down to single figures in Shawbury at 9.4c.

Went to Aberystwyth yesterday where it reached 26c in a strong easterly breeze, was scorching, reached 24.6c here.

24-25c again today before it's downhill from tommorow, perhaps were finally get a thunderstorm Wednesday, charts look promising!

Although we cant expect this week to continue, the charts for mid next week onwards are not very inspiring with High pressure over Greenland/North Atlantic and Low pressure to the East directing cool air pretty much only at Britain as if its payback time from this week and then it looks set to stay like that for a bit. Even appears to be some sort of Russian high. This can be very stubborn to shift and not what we want to see however this remains FI ish and this year we have more factors in our favour such as La Nina ending etc.

Probably little more than 16c/17c by next weekend. GFS is underdoing temperatures im sure by saying 10c only but it highlights how things could be set to go below average now!!! sad.png

The GFS 06 is a lot cooler for next Saturday than its previous run, be surprised if it's below 16c max let alone 11c!
