Fine, clear and dry overnight. Cloud increased through the morning to almost overcast, though bright and sunny spells are developing once more towards reading time, warm. A rather cloudy morning and early afternoon followed, by mid afternoon the cloud broke well to allow good sunny spells. Feeling warm. The evening continued fine.

A very interesting sky with all manner of Altocumulus, Cirrocumulus, Cirrus and Cumulus types which have gradually developed and moved in from the WSW to replace what had been a sunny morning.

Still some sunny spells, 22.9c after 23.6c max half an hour ago, gentle SW breeze, 56% humidity.

Don't know about you lot but rather to my surprise I'm on my hottest day of the year. Just hit 27.1C, very muggy, strong mid level convection now, looking rather dark to my SSW.

Been odd today. Was around 17C and cloudy when I left for college. Temperature was rather stable until about lunchtime when it rose to 19C. It wasn't until after 3pm until it started rising considerably when it eventually peaked at around 23C at around 4.30pm. No wind outside; this, along with the high humidity and dew points, it feels very warm and muggy. Really want a thunderstorm!

Wow, had an incredible rain storm today, with a few flashes of lightning too. The rain was the heaviest and most intense I have ever seen in the UK, it was so heavy it ripped a hole through the roof at Tesco and for about 15 minutes there was just a waterfall of water! The car park was also under a few inches of water for a time, it was like a river!
