A cold day here, max of 7.c, hovering around 6.c for most of the day.

7 degrees is certainly a cold maxima for a June day, many a day this winter beat 7 degrees.

Here we maxed out at 10 degrees thanks to no precipitation. Had the rain made it this far, I suspect we would have seen 7/8 degrees at the very best.

Its been a grey dreary day with overcast skies and a cold N wind. Skies are beginning to brighten a little now and tomorrow hopefully should be a much brighter day with some sunny breaks but temps will remain suppressed, the difference with last weekend couldn't be more starked in terms of temps.

A thoroughly dreich day all-in-all. And it does seem that Publius Enigma's dire forecast was spot-on...

The forecast from GFS for today was for 7-8c in South Wales a number of days ago, a big FAIL to me.

With Temps of 15c near Lampeter and 14c here, 6c out is not that accurate.

Shocking weather for the Jubilee pagent, raining still and temps for most of the day of around 11c - makes me laugh that bookmakers had reasonably low odds of 90 degrees being reached somewhere in the UK over this bank holiday weekend just about a weekend ago - laughable!

Probably at the end of Summer, unless we happen on a dry late Summer, then it may go on into Autumn.

Looks like folks on the south coast got lucky - the Beeb forecast for persistent rain was pretty much spot on here. Cool and overcast with bursts of rain all day, heavy at times. Maximum 14.7, minimum 11.5. Wind light E.

Walked past one street party today - they managed to get a large gazebo up and told me their attendance wasn't bad considering the weather. There was a great photo on our local radio station's Facebook page of one bloke on his own under a brolly standing by his street sign. He looked surprisingly cheerful!

I dont think you can get worse days for June than today or colder, maxs of only 9C to 11C in the midlands and northern england, cant remember maxs colder than that around here in June, very wet too with rain heavy at times all day with a cold northeasterly breeze.

Some on here were saying the GFS temps were nonsense for today, yes nonsense in the wrong way that they meant rofl.gif
