Here is my first ever attempt at a timelapse using my Samsung Galaxy S and a free android timelapse app call LapseIt... it shows the approach of the messy blob or showers that came from Wales and is indeed just showers, nothing more! Anyway let me know ways to improve it (resolution aint an option on the free app version!)

Cheers

Just constant light rain here.

This year so far is really appalling for storms here. What does it take to get something here??? We used to do well but it couldnt be further from the truth for 2012 so far.

Despite thunder reported nearby in Birmingham, the thunderstorm shield is staying sturdy here, with just mostly light - moderate showers occurring. Something seriously needs to be done about these shields, because they are just getting too powerful now.

Quite dark to my SW now and apparently there is Thunder and Lightning reported from Bromsgrove. Looks like it will pass to the South of here...again though.

I like the look of what's approaching here from the South West.

Showers intensified a lot on radar in the last 10 mins.

Might finally get a close storm in Nottingham.

Looks like it might pass just to my south this time, but closer than the last one which passed to the north.

just literally got in and can report quite a lot of lightning over north Brum whilst driving towards the M5/M6 interchange....a heavy shower here currently in Penkridge, but it looks like the thundery stuff will pass to the south

Nought here! just a bit of rain messy out there but to be honest it does feel nice when the sun actually comes out. Fed up of the British weather now, all the excitment over it but as we all know it won't happen unless it involves mild temperatures and rain. I know people will say the weather is varied in the UK but its really not its either raining or cloudy and if we are lucky we may get a few days with warmth once in a blue moon.
