About to get interesting here soon, the rain has crossed the channel and looks eager to make it's presence felt judging by the radar.

Just starting spitting here...everybody in! It's spitting!

Although our bathroom is already flooded...never leave a ten month old with a full potty.....

It started with some pretty normal rain here, but as you say, the radar has a whole heap of it on the way this afternoon!

I'm not sure how far back the Netweather Extra radar archive goes back, but it is only a couple of years at the most I think.

West or southwesterly gales are likely to affect many parts of south Wales and the southern half of England during Friday. The public should be aware that damage to trees is likely and that disruption to travel and outdoor activities could also occur. The gales are also likely to be accompanied by some heavy rain. Winds should gradually ease from the southwest during the day.

I'm mega busy at work today, before hols. Does anyone have an idea how long this heavy stuff is likely to last? I'm hoping it's cleared through by 6:30 or so, for a bike race in Colchester - I'm definitely only a spectator by the way!

Well that was uneventful, it sometimes feels like the radar really likes to overdo the intensity of rainfall, more rain to come though no doubt this is only the start.

Moderate rain for the last hour or so in Harefield, with the odd heavier burst from time to time. Nothing very exciting so far though - which sets me up for some not very exciting meetings this afternoon.

To reflect my mood I have tried to make this post as dull as possible and, on reading it back, I am confident that I have been succesful!

Job well done, I almost fell asleep reading it blum.gif

Have been under the 'heavier' precip but nothing spectacular to report. Just a soggy mess really.

Totally agree. I was expecting a downpour and yet I would describe the rain as drizzle

Thanks Coast - I'm not really bothered how light or heavy it turns out to be as it means I dodn't have to water the garden which is a pain without the hosepipe. Surely that ban could be lifted now !!
