Do you take your poodles in a kayak? I'd pay money to see that!

Surely that ban could be lifted now !!

Details of the recovery, which will come as no surprise to a nation battered by rain and floods, are revealed in a study published today by the agency. The bad news is there may be no let up of rain over the summer. The report goes on to say it is more likely that the country, particularly the South, will have a wet rather than a dry summer. Agency head of water resources Trevor Bishop said: ‘We have seen a huge improvement in water resources in just a few short months, putting us in a much more positive position for the summer.

No heavy rain here, just steady for last hour or so, strangely its so calm outside no wind, so this will hang around for a few hours by the looks of it??

Im hoping its going to be gone by 4pm so I can play cricket tonight

Have a look at your original post QS - you said there were lots of poodles about and I just assumed they were yours!

On reflection you don't look like a poodle owner though - please pass on my apologies to your dog with this little gift for him/her...

Rain been falling fairly moderately for past few hours. Moving up from the channel fairly fast so perhaps another hour or so before it stops?

Latest Met Office warning, updated at 2pm today:

"Issued at - 07 Jun 2012, 14:03

Valid from - 08 Jun 2012, 00:05

Valid to - 08 Jun 2012, 21:00

West or southwesterly gales are likely to affect many parts of south Wales and the southern half of England during Friday. The public should be aware that some damage to trees is likely and that disruption to travel and outdoor activities could also occur. The gales are also likely to be accompanied by some heavy rain. Winds should gradually ease from the southwest after about midday."

I see that the warning is valid from 00:05 tomorrow. Surely they could have been a bit more precise?
