Hi,

Have been a passive member of forums for ages, but never pro-active, so forgive my complete lack of understanding of how these things work

wink.png ....

Anyway.... I would like to change my user name if possible, so I tried to PM an admin, only to be informed I,

"don't have permission for that"

and I am,

"not allowed to use the PM system".....help.gif

I have never PM'd any one, on any forum, as it happens, so I don't think it is a question of prior abuse or anything (I hope!).

More likely to be rust.....

Could someone please give me a gentle shove in the right direction please.....

EDIT: As soon as I posted this, messenger became available in the top bar, magic....I knew posting in here would get the job sorted!doh.gif

welcome to being active-no use me trying to help but I am sure someone will drop in and offer help.

Meantime enjoy all that Net Wx has to offer, both factual and fantasy on these forums, and of course the stack of real data available.

The Pm system has started working now, so it looks like you were partially right SS, a couple of posts have brought it online.

I have been fairly active when it comes to reading the forums, so it's about time I gave something back!*

I have PM'd Bottesford regards a user name change, I think he may be away though, is he the right person to contact, and is it best I leave the request in his capable hands until he's back? It's not super urgent...
