What are the chances of East Anglia getting some Lightning? I'm afraid I still don't really understand charts and the percentage has gone down from 61% this morning to 51% now (for tomorrow)

There's definitely a good chance of thunder tomorrow morning. I suppose the risk is that any future developing storms may be in the process of decaying by that time though, in which case it might be a thundery looking sky, but without the thunder.

Here's hoping though!

Well it's certainly warm and cloudy, dewpoints are up and there is that feeling in the air. Fingers crossed and I hope I don't sleep through anything that does arrive.

All the latest shenanigans on tonight's possibilities here:

Lots of rain moving into the southwest at the moment...I'm thinking I may be too far east for any heavy rain or thunder again

Good link posted there by yourself.

I guess it's saying our chance here is late tonight / tomorrow morning, with further heavy storms developing behind the front tomorrow afternoon, but the risk area for this being the Midlands and Southwest. Maybe we'll have a further good chance on Friday then too?

reverse psychology ?

RAIN !! I didn't love it when it woke me up several times in the night....

..as if I wasn't having enough trouble sleeping as it is nea.gif

I wouldn't have minded if it had been a thunder storm though, some things are worth losing sleep for pardon.gif

Rainy overnight but not quite as much as I was expecting (which is good currently!). Very muggy here this morning

Yes it is Coast,Current forecast for today is top temps of 22c,with sunny spells later and heavy showers. That temp alone with the humidity could be the trigger. Have not had a good storm here for years.

At least there's some reason to keep one eye on the radar today. No work so we need some action please!

After all that rain it's feeling a tad muggy now. Just drizzling at the mo. Just been out to unblock me drains for erm....later maybe. :D

I guess the greatest chance of thunder now is if it manages to brighten today, as it looks like there's plenty enough instability for that trigger.

Pretty muggy outside as well - I cleared my drains at the weekend, go me eh? :D Judging by the radar the rain should clear before midday but how much clag and garbage will be hanging around is anyone's guess...

I'd prefer not to have that deluge of 10 days ago but I wouldn't say no to a storm or ten. House is mostly dry thank you, shame about the contents.

i hope you didn't lose too much, maybe worth investing in some sandbags, or a boat!
