That was some storm! Wind HOWLING and rain on the windows as if someone was throwing buckets of water at them.

Very dark, lots of lightning and thunder - didnt see any hail.

Storm moving off now,but the radar is picking up another intense echo heading this way

(am very pleased my lightning detector works - was concerned I;d jinxed myself to no sotrms forever for buying one!) :D

Very intense storms in N Ireland this afternoon, frequent lightning strikes and hail.

Traffic was stationary for a time on the way home from Belfast....motorway looked more like a river!

Finally :!: We have an approaching thunder storm here, can see flashes of lightning to my south, south-west and south-east. Looks like it's heading this way as the rain is beginning :D Going to turn the pc off and go and watch, looks like it's slow moving from the radar :D (been there for ages)

I think i got mostly the edge of the storm, still better than nothing though :D Seen a few CG's CC's and head few rumbles of thunder, not bad for 11pm at night :D

Huge storm in Durness on the very far northwest coast on THursday pm. thunder and lightning overhead and torrential downpour. I was on the Cape wrath peninsular, where it wasn't so bad, but as I was pushing a punctured bike it it was still a bit scary.

Further torrential downpours yesterday (Friday), in Tongue, on the north coast and roads like rivers at Crask Inn, south of Altnaharra.
