Lol. I know only too well how you all feel. It's soooooo frustrating when things look good and it all comes to nothing. :(

I'm used to it now haha. Last decent storm was May 9th 2008. Oh how I crave one like that again. Nice slack low to the west with slow moving trailing fronts/troughs meeting unstable humid air coming in from the SE.

I can dream...

Just a reminder for all those of us still struggling to enjoy a decent storm, here is Jane Louise's dedicated thread for gathering around a small table in a pub and crying into our beer:

Mornin lewis, unless we can get rid of some of this murky rubbish during the day were really goin to struggle. the potential is there for a lot later in the day it as to be said,

Morning mate,

Hit me up on facebook later if it gets interesting, I have a feeling most of the action will be to the SE of me, across NE Lincolnshire exiting around Spurn point/mouth of the Humber, either way I'm hoping to get some footage today on the new camcorder, I am fairly confident they will be breaks in the clouds later this afternoon.

Just done a quick video on current conditions;

*IGNORE the washing powder guy* lol

Can't make up my mind with what's happening....so complex!

Possible MCS imports, possible multicell home growns, possible supercell homegrowns, Pm airmass pulse type storms, persistent rain.....aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!

Going to be a "just wait and see" sort of day IMO.

It was insane here from midnight until 1:30am. I had one flash of lightning and a rumble, but the persistency of the torrential rain was crazy!

I had leaks everywhere in my porch, i had bowls out collecting water, roads were like rivers!

25mm fell in around two and half hours, 15mm of that fell in one hour .. and it's started raining again. lol

An awful lot of cloud around today with the next batch of rain swinging in from the SW now. All this cloud will hamper any storm developments I feel. Any slightly clearer skies look to be very limited thus far and even then, hampered by high cloud. We shall see.

Now the main rain band has moved north here we keep getting outbreaks of very heavy rain with large drops. Feels humid although there is a bit of a breeze.

Amazed people have failed to notice the new warnings from the metoffice :p

Those warnings are a total flip reverse of what was on their website only an hour ago! Shows how difficult today's setup is.

I had noticed them. They are for up to midnight too, so maybe a chance that things will continue for longer than i had thought.

Still thick cloud and steady rain here, but i am expecting action to be south and east of here. Lincolnshire & Norfolk still look best places this afternoon and up into East Yorkshire later.
