My word for today:

op·pres·sive/əˈpresiv/

Adjective:

  • Unjustly inflicting hardship and constraint, esp. on a minority or other subordinate group.
  • Weighing heavily on the mind or spirits; causing depression or discomfort.

Don't be so hard on yourself Coast, you're not that badrofl.gif

Just home from work and my weather station tells me we've had the warmest day since June 2011 here at 27.6c...not bad for a quarter mile from the coast!

Is now a bad time to say that the storms I saw today were the best I've ever seen ;).

Back in cambs now so hot and humid, appears to be some convection kicking off

is it just my eyes or is that heavy rain just north of the wash hooking around southwards? might just be wishful thinking of course. Also wind has picked up here a little in the last few mins no sigh of any heavy dark clouds though

If Wisbech is where I think it is, you've imminent potential in any case.

I reckon EA could still see some storms, light shower here now so there is some convection occuring

Very confident that Wisbeach area will get a storm looking at the radar

The funny thing is that a lot of us are likely to hear thunder in the next 72 hours or so, but due to run of the mill heavy showers, rather than the spectacular stuff today.rolleyes.gif

There's always another time though.smile.png

I'm amazed that the Met Office don't seem to have issued a warning higher than yellow, in the worst affected areas today.huh.png
