    Morning all Out breaks of heavy and thundery rain are expected from east Yorkshire down to S.E.England today.

    Here it's a quiet morning withh 8/8 St. temp of 13.2C and a light NNW wind.

    A cool start at about 14C. We are drying out here in the West Country - feeling damp and rather sultry. Low clouds coming in from the north for a change, but breaking up to show some blue - hopeful that the forecast for a pleasant day in these parts is to be borne out.

    A heavy shower yesterday evening around 1900-15 g.m.t followed by a dry and cloudy night with thick hill fog developing by the early hours. The fog lifted by 0600 g.m.t but it remained misty until about 15 minutes ago.

    Still cloudy but trying to brighten up.

    Well it didn't stay dry for very long with heavy drizzle for about 30 mins.I think it will be on and off for much of the day now aswell.

    Dry and overcast for most of the morning, but occasional sunny intervals during late morning, and cloud cover has reduced to about 6 oktas. Not much in the way of significant convection going up, mostly moderate cumulus. Currently 17.9C.

    Remarkably dry, warm, and - yes - sunny here this afternoon. Low wind causing temperature to rise to about 21C in mid-Somerset. Very bubbly cumulus around looking quite thundery but just passing my area allowing continuous sun for about three hours - hence good temperature. Lawns being mown, and I got a couple of hours sunbathing in. shok.gifgood.gif Who knows - might get a thunderstorm later.
