Have a look on Argos. They usually have some good weather stations. I got one a few years ago from there and it was very good.

That one's a Chinese copy of the Watson type, there seem to be endless variations using essentially the same sensors.

From what I've seen the Temperature isn't shielded very well but can't be improved with a bit of ingenuity.

They are also prone to occasional data spikes like 150mph gusts on calm days.

Then longevity - not too bad really but will depend on your site.

A typical suburban garden it might last for years but an exposed site probably lucky if something doesn't break or stop working within a few months.

But they cost less than a single replacement sensor on more upmarket stations so what can you say - not bad for the money.

Ive had two maplins weather stations, in general for casual use they are fine, good value for money ,as 4WD says ideal for town gardens ,i had to replace the main censor after a year and the rain-gauge after 16 months, that is why i bought two , have one for spares.
