Been torrential slow moving downpours (with a few sefrics) around the same area in south Pembrokeshire for over 4 hours now! must be some flooding there?

Been some heavy/torrential downpours near me especially in a line to my west but only moderate showers over my house.

Me and Raidan are in Bristol and are thinking of heading to portishead/Clevedon again but not really sure of the best place to be today, any ideas?

Severn Beach might be a good un. I'm heading to Almondsbury soon and see whats occurring around the area.

Certainly SE Scotland doing well this morning, almost looks like a MCS on radar, trough or possible convergence zone there looking at onshore breeze along north sea coast.

Lots of cells already forming over the SW, making their way up the M5 corridor. Taunton looks like its getting hit currently.

Also a large mass of PPN off the Cornish coast, near Penzance.

I'm only 7miles away from there. We have had some amazing downpours this morning but no thunder /lightning today.

GFS 06z keeps the convergence zone and CAPE for this afternoon in the same areas as previously shown. Looks like best action will be to my north and so i am considering taking a trip out and maybe making Harrogate my starting point for easy access northwest, north or north east.

According to the GFS, a convergence line running up through Wales into Northern England looks like it could be home to some of the heaviest rain/storms today. Shown below:

Thought this was quite a nice pic, yesterday's rain totals, showing the showers spiralling around the low pressure system over the south of Ireland:

That storm across the borders looks intense. Already reports of serious flooding and lightning strikes causing disruption. Take care up there!

Heavy shower here currently. Not seen the sun yet today, which is a slight concern. As I type, shower is turning rather intense!

And let's not forget the dry slot down south too. Same again for my neck of the woods so far, but here's hoping that changes.

Yep...been outside...heard one rumble from it. It's away to my North West, but there is a lot of convection kicking off in pretty much every direction, so looks fairly promising.
