On the 22nd February 1995, an active cold front tracked across England and Wales producing heavy rain, sleet, snow, hail, thunder, lightning, squally winds and a dramatic temperature drop. Peter Cockcroft said 3 inches of snow fell in 20 minutes in the Peak District. I remember this well, the rain was torrential and squally as the front passed through.
