Since http://coolwx.com/record/ stopped updating on the 5th sep I've trying to obtain global daily temp extremes (low ones) to match up to snow maps I post but my brain is not big enough to set up a database but may make some progress if guided by someone good in this area got as far as starting to ask weather stations for data http://gis.ncdc.noaa.gov/map/cdo/?thm=themeExtremes etc will keep hacking at it!
