Morning everyone, heavy rain here in Dartford. Pressure 995.5 dropped from 995.7 whilst typing, temp 5.3, humidity 93%, wind chill 5.3, dew point 4.3. Wind calm.

Unbelievable, huge flakes of wet snow falling. I'm right on the coast of South Dorset so unusual for us to get snow at any time!

Heavy sleet/wet snow falling but not sticking. Suspect the dewpoint of 1.7c is reasonable for that.

A short moderate shower of sleet yesterday evening around 2230, otherwise a dry night with clear periods until well into the early hours.

High and medium level cloud increased from the south towards dawn and so far this morning it's been cloudy, chilly and dry.

yes the heavy rain certainly did the trick for lowering wet bulb temperatures and zero C isotherm, sveral places in your area, Somerset Wiltshire seem to have had a decent fall of snow. It was reasonably well predicted by the UK Fine Mesh model as far out as Friday.
